The short version
Meanwhile gives you information about what the law says and what usually happens where you live. It isn't legal or financial advice, and it doesn't decide anything for you.
You see the price, and whether it renews, before you pay. Cancel any time, and get a full refund within 14 days, no questions asked.
What Meanwhile is, and isn't
Meanwhile turns your answers and the published rules where you live into estimates: support ranges, a likely share of what you own, housing costs and first steps. Your plan's numbers are calculated from those rules, not written by AI. Estimates are ranges, not promises, and they're only as good as the answers you give.
Ask is an AI. It answers from the same research for where you live, but it can misunderstand a question or get a detail wrong, and its answers aren't checked by a person before you see them. Treat them as a starting point, not a final word.
Information, not advice
We're not a law firm, and no lawyer-client or adviser relationship is created by using Meanwhile. Laws change and every situation is different. Before you act on anything here, check it with a family lawyer or a financial professional where you live.
Who can use it
You need to be 18 or older, and using Meanwhile for your own situation. One account is for one person.
Your account
You sign in with a code sent to your email, so keep that inbox to yourself. What you enter stays yours: we use it only to run Meanwhile for you, as the Privacy page describes. You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings at any time.
Paying and renewing
The check-in is free. Your plan, Ask and Paths unlock with a payment. Before you pay, you see what it costs, how long it lasts and whether it renews. Payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record.
If your plan renews, it does so at the end of each period until you cancel, in Settings under Membership, at any time. Cancelling stops the next charge, and you keep access until the period you paid for ends. A plan that doesn't renew ends when its period does. One with no end date lasts as long as Meanwhile runs.
Refunds
Ask within 14 days of paying for a full refund, no questions asked. One refund per person. The Refunds page has the details.
Using it fairly
Please don't use Meanwhile on someone else's behalf, resell or copy its content, try to break into it, or overload it. We may close an account that does, and refund what's left of a paid period.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Meanwhile, without owing you anything for them.
Our responsibility
We review the research for each place regularly, but laws and figures change, and it can take us a little while to catch up. Meanwhile shows how cases like yours usually go. Ask can get specific about most questions, but every case is its own, and a detail we can't see can change the outcome. So we can't promise the research is complete or right for your case. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for decisions made from Meanwhile's estimates, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be waived.
