The short version
We collect what's needed to build your plan: your answers, your email, and what you ask. We never sell it. A few services help us run Meanwhile, and each gets only what its job needs.
You can delete everything, for good, from Settings.
What we collect
- Your answers
- Where you live, how long you've been married, your children's ages, incomes, the home, savings and debts, and anything else you tell us. Guesses too.
- Your email
- For your receipt and sign-in codes, and a single reminder if you leave checkout without paying. That's all we ever send.
- What you ask
- Your questions in Ask and the answers you get, so the conversation can pick up where it left off.
- Payment
- Taken by our payment provider. We see that you paid and which plan you chose, never your full card number.
- Technical basics
- Device and browser type, rough location from your IP address, and which pages load, to keep the site working and secure.
How we use it
To build and update your plan, answer your questions, open your Paths, take payment, sign you in, fix what breaks, and improve Meanwhile and our ads. We don't sell or rent your information. The ad platforms we work with get limited signals, like when someone signs up or pays, to measure and improve our ads.
We never contact your husband, a lawyer, or anyone else on your behalf.
Who else handles it
A few companies run parts of Meanwhile for us. Each gets only what its job needs, and is bound by contract to use it for nothing else. Write to [email protected] and we'll tell you exactly which ones.
- Creem
- Takes payment and handles sales tax, as the merchant of record.
- Hosting and security
- Runs the app, stores encrypted backups, and protects it from attacks.
- AI
- Passes your Ask questions to the model that answers them. Models don't train on them.
- Sends your receipt and sign-in codes.
- Error and usage monitoring
- Tells us when something breaks and how Meanwhile gets used.
If the law asks
We hand over information only when the law requires it, like a valid court order or subpoena, and only what it requires. We don't hand anything over just because someone asks, including your husband or his lawyer.
Where the law allows, we tell you first, so you have time to object.
Ads and measurement
Our public pages and the check-in use measurement tags from the places we advertise, like Meta, TikTok and Google, to count which ads bring visitors and purchases, and to improve our ads. There are none inside the app.
In the UK and Europe, these tags and our usage analytics stay off until you allow them. You can change your choice any time under Cookie choices at the foot of every page, and we honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals the same way.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you choose Delete everything in Settings, your plan, answers, questions and account are erased straight away, and drop out of our backups within 30 days.
If you start the check-in and never finish, your answers are erased after 30 days. We keep payment records for as long as tax law requires, without your answers attached.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can see what we hold about you, correct it, take a copy, or have it deleted. Most of it is one tap away in Settings; for anything else, write to [email protected] from the email on your account. We answer within 30 days, and never charge for it.
If you're in California, Europe or the UK, you have these rights under your local law too, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Everything travels encrypted. Only the people who keep Meanwhile running can reach the systems it lives on. You can add a lock with your face, fingerprint or passcode, so the app stays closed on a shared device. If a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you by email, with a plain subject line, as the law requires.
Changes and contact
Meanwhile is for adults, 18 and over. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
If Meanwhile moves to another company, or is sold or merged, your information moves with it and stays under this policy.
Questions go to [email protected]. Meanwhile is run by [Full name], a private entrepreneur registered in Ukraine.
